Another Year

A year after divorce & a year older...this song sums it up!
FINALLY...I'm ok with it how it all ended & where we are today. We are in two different places & that just shows how different we really are.
Like the song says in the end "He's gone"! Some describe divorce like death. Like death, you can't make them stay forever. When it's all said & done you just have to look back at the good times & good memories. Also, people heal differently. Some slap a "band-aid" on it. I chose to deal with it & heal before trying to move on.
I wish him well because I want him to do that with me. We didn't divorce to be as unhappy apart as we were together.
So here is to removing the band-aid & only looking at the scar to remeber what a ride it was but time for new things ahead!!!
For now it's time with my son, family & friends. And MAYBE one day new love!
